Loreena
McKennitt
The Canadian singer/songwriter/harpinist Loreena
McKennitt has an outstanding beautiful, clear voice. Her music
covers Celtic, Folk, World music, medieval.... It won't fail
to take you on a journey and suddenly you are spellbound by
the sheer beauty of the songs. From the very beginning of
her career Loreena McKennitt has been self-managed and still
is the head of her own record label, Quinlan Road.
My favourite albums are"The mask and the mirror"
(1994) and the superb 1999 released 2-CD-set
"Live in Paris & Toronto" |

concert: |
I was lucky enough to attend
the first concert of the tour in Stuttgart/Germany
(Liederhalle) on 11th of March 2007, a wonderful
concert, no doubt one of the best I have ever been to. Loreena
was in good mood and sounded phantastic, the musicians were
first class and the sound was excellent. They played 2 sets
of almost 2 1/2 hours, a good mix of old and new songs and
also one of my favourites "The Highwayman". It was
a great experience and a magic night. |
