Tower: Height: 13 metres, white conical tower

Elevation: 18 metres

Range: Flashing white (visible for 15 miles) and red (visible for 11 miles) every 10 seconds

This light is operational

designed and built 1846 by Alan Stevenson

Date automated: 1985

Current use: Active aid to navigation.

Students from Aberdeen University inhabit the keeper's house and outbuildings to study the famous Bottlenose Dolphins, seals and other marine wildlife of the Moray Firth
